Alex Bradshaw – Director / Producer, Fire Fire
Alex Bradshaw is a director and producer who has filmed in more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, America, and the Pacific. As co-founder of Fire Fire, he has spent the past five years building one of New Zealand’s most distinctive factual production companies, known for cinematic, story-driven series that capture the heart and humour of Aotearoa. His recent credits include Relentless, Art of War, Top of the South, Nomad, and Roots — nationally funded projects commissioned by RNZ, Māori+, and TVNZ+, reaching millions across broadcast and digital platforms.
Before launching Fire Fire, Alex spent nearly a decade in Australia directing and producing global campaigns for major brands including Google, Amazon, and Commonwealth Bank. That international experience shaped his visual style — blending the precision of commercial filmmaking with the authenticity of documentary storytelling — a hallmark that defines all of Fire Fire’s work today.
Fire Fire is a husband-and-wife team led by Alex Bradshaw and Tara Durrant, combining Alex’s creative direction with Tara’s editorial expertise to craft high-quality, emotionally resonant storytelling.
